Meet Ryan Warner, a senior at Desert Hills. While taking Sports Medicine during his junior year, Ryan decided he wanted to become a physical therapist.
After hearing about the internship program from a friend, he asked if it was worth it. “She said that it led to a job for her with a Physical Therapy company and it was a fun way to learn outside the classroom”. Ryan recalled. Ryan then applied for the program. After completing the workshops, he interviewed with Aaron Harward of Fit Physical Therapy and earned the opportunity to learn from a professional. Previously, Ryan held basic jobs in the food industry and at a car wash. Since working as an intern with Fit Physical Therapy, he has been offered a position within the company! Now working in his field and preparing to graduate then move on to College, Ryan offers this advice “Approach it (the internship) like you want to do it for you. Don’t approach it just to get out of school...show up on time, work hard and have fun doing it”. Congratulations Ryan on your successful internship experience!
