A: Typically, this internship is unpaid and designed for earning school credit while developing professional skills in your selected field. However, it can also be a paid opportunity, provided it corresponds with your CTE Pathway. Q: Can I have my parents set up my internship? A: Absolutely not. It's a firm no. While they can offer you contacts for internship opportunities, that's where their involvement ends. They have jobs and understand the work environment, and now it's your turn to step up. Parents are welcome to reach out to me anytime with questions about your internship experience, but this is your chance to find your voice as your own advocate. We're here to support you throughout this journey. |
